"Step it Away"- an interactive workshop on English gypsy music and speech

The workshop is based on Gwilym's first-hand experience of English traveller music.  This is an interactive music workshop to explore the song, dance and speech traditions of the English gypsy.  The workshop will take you through ballads, poaching songs, stepdance tunes, diddling and Romany speech, with sound and video clips of the singers.  There will be an opportunity to learn some Romany and to join in with voices and instruments.  The workshop lasts typically 90 minutes.
